Asteria ART Announces "Artefacts" Platform for Accelerated Virtual Robotics Testing

Artefacts

Asteria Artificial Recognition Technology Corporation ("Asteria ART") is proud to announce the release of “Artefacts”; a Robotics Application Development platform specifically made for Robotics and Robotics QA engineers to test their applications in simulation, with the aim to decrease both cost and time of the development process.

Developing a new robotics application can take months when only testing and validating on the target hardware. Though simulation and automatic testing are known to all, many robotics companies skip it due to difficulties in setup time, maintenance, and sharing of results, and so focus on hardware based testing.

Consequently, many development teams are not able to benefit from the short feedback loop and early warnings provided by a reproducible virtual testing environment.

Artefacts aims to address these challenges by making it possible to start QA early in the development process ("Shifting Left"), even before the hardware is ready to work with.

Artefacts users benefit from our low code tooling for industry standard ROS2 applications. A simple configuration file allows for testing in different scenarios, and grid-based parametric testing can be setup without any changes to source code. Results can then be published to the Artefacts dashboard to easily visualize, analyse and share test results with your team.

A free plan is available at Artefacts for those looking to get started and try out the platform.
